No Tricks, Only treats!
Since its Halloween, I thought i would pass along some handy tips as your treat.
- Use the correct products! So very important, and nine times out of ten, improper product use leads to hair issues. It saves you tonnes of time and money to do a little research. Make sure what you use and “how” you use it. Makes for happy hair days!
- In a rush? Busy mornings? Do you wash and blow out at night before bed. And I don’t mean wash fast and run the dryer over your head in a mad rush. But a proper shampoo and condition and a real good blow out. Also do not rinse out all of your conditioner otherwise you may as well throw it over your shoulder as you put it on your hair. Rule of thumb, silky not slimy. After that, It should take you approx 20 to 30 min start to finish. (depending) This will then only need a slight touch up with your dryer or flat iron in the am (again depending on how you wear your hair, and yes this works).
- Use a silk pillow case to cover your pillow. Not poly satin..but silk. They are sold everywhere now. It does save your hair and your face. The cotton ones will heat, cause frizzy hair and tangles. Silk makes your hair stay nice longer.
- Tools that I see as a must for doing hair? A good micro fibre towel to wrap your hair up after shampooing and conditioning. This soaks up a good amount of the excess water, thus saving time in the blow out session. A large comb to comb the conditioner through your hair in the shower, to evenly distribute it. A good brush to brush out tangles afterwards . A leave in conditioner if need be to protect from heat damage. And a good dryer. It doesn’t need to be fancy but it should get hot enough to dry your hair without having to pass over it too many times. Same logic goes for a flat iron, if you have to pass over your hair 10 to 15 times, your temp is not right or your tools are not right.
If you follow these tip treats, you should be able to have a good amount of great hair days ahead.
Happy Halloween!
Boo to you from Diana!
