Sleep rituals for great hair!

Sleep is so good for us. When we get our required amount of sleep, our days are easier, we think more clearly and frankly we look better too.

Sleeping is when our bodies do all the magical things. We regenerate internally both physically and mentally.

Sleep rituals are a good way to the best of our ability make sure you have a solid routine that will help you create the best life in your waking hours.

When our body is sleeping, it is rebuilding and repairing. This means, your hair also.

I am sure you know, washing your face, using your creams and lotions to protect and help things along are important. This goes for your hair too.

Making hair care a part of your bed time routine will make the morning routine better, faster and easier. Who does not want that?

Preparing your bed is a great way to help things along. I highly suggest a silk pillow case. Best beauty product and it protects both your face and hair.

Hair can break while sleeping and get much more over tousled  when we are using a cotton or cotton type pillow case. Silk causes much less friction and stays cooler in summer, helping with sweating in the night.

Before your head hits the proverbial pillow, there is a few things you can do to help save your hair and yourself time.

  1. If you find yourself with no time in the am, try making a practise of styling your hair before you go to bed. Even if you only wash and blow it out and add the iron work in the am you have saved yourself a lot of time for other things.
  2. If you are someone who washes every few days, then make sure you give your hair a good brushing before bed. Its relaxing and helps to clean your scalp and keep your bedding cleaner.
  3. If your hair is on the dry side adding a bit of hair oil before bed and working it through your hair will help to strengthen and heal it. Making sure of course to not add too much oil and keeping it on the ends and away from your scalp.
  4. If your hair is very long, putting it into a loose braid, keeps it from getting tangled and saves you a lot of time detangling in the am. This is especially great advice if you have hair extensions.

Have a wonderful restful sleep. And here is to great relaxing mornings.

Look forward to seeing you.
